OK staff this is Classlink tutorial number three. I have noticed that some students like to close Classlink instead of going directly to it, open up a new tab, and don't want to use a bookmark. But that can be problematic because these bookmark links can go bad. The best thing to do is to have the students sign out and then have them sign back in, and I will go ahead and push Classlink through, and the kids will see the G right in the middle. They click on it and then they will see this home screen for them. One other thing about Classlink is that students have to use their individual login. If you have a class account and you want to use, for example, an application. All applications only have one username and one password. There is no way to put on another account next to it, as you saw right there. Front Row. Only one email and one password, but if students login then the individual account that can sign in with an individual login information, and it will save it if has that. Advance key on the corner right here as you see on this little hand that I'm pointing at. Let me just go ahead and do a refresh on things you can't do. This is the App Library you can go ahead and add an app on there. Sometimes for whatever reason it takes a long time to show up on the home screen. It does tell me when it went through flawlessly. Sometimes all it takes is having to add another app, and then it'll push the, it'll push the other app which was the first one I used which was TED. And you have Dictionary. And there it is. TED and Dictionary. If for whatever reason students can't add an application by clicking here, and it takes longer than I don't know a day, then there's probably something wrong with their profile, and you would have to submit a School Dude, and then I will get to it as soon as I can, and I will more than likely what I will do is delete their profile from the home screen. Not this home screen, but after you sign out a little icon with the student's info. I will click on the upper right corner that will have a little arrow like this in the middle and a small box in the middle. It will say remove this user and it would have to put in an email and their password. You guys are more than welcome to try that too as well if you have the students information. It'll push through it away and then you won't have to do a School Dude cause then I won't need to do it for you. But if you need help I can go about doing those for you as well. I can train you on how to do it. Let's see. Let me go ahead and show how to use icon styling. You can do circles or squares. I personally like squares. Icon size. You can go to super big, medium, or small. I'd rather use medium. Font size: big, middle, or small. I will use medium size. Themes. There's really not much to pick from. I'll pick yellow this time and see it only messes with the top frame. And that's it. Let's pick rain this time. Actually I'll pick frost because generally we're still in winter. Here we go. You can go to create folder. Name the folder. I'll just call it extra, and I'll pick brown, it's the color of chocolate. Again, you can go ahead and go to My Profile and I know that I'm going really fast. Screencastify, this app that I'm using to record my, record this screen and my voice only allows a limited amount of time. After that I have to sign up for a fee. I'll give you a few minutes. I'll go ahead and change the image. And you can either upload a photo from ones you already have downloaded to your computer to your chromebook, or ones that they already have here. For these here you can just click on the like bear if you want the bear. It'll show up here. And you can go to change image, upload a photo, choose a file, and then it will go ahead and push through. These are the files, oops I guess I deleted them. Let me just show you real quick on how to do that. We'll do dogs. I'll go to images. Double tap with two fingers at the same time, and go to save image as. Down here I want to rename it as dogs. Soon as it loads. File name, it's already highlighted. Just type dogs. Click save. It's already saved there so I'm gonna go ahead, and it says show in folder, copy to clipboard. I'll go to show folder. Actually I won't do that. Let me go ahead and go back to this screen here. Change image. I closed the other screen just so I can show you guys the right way to do it. You could have done it the other way too as well. Let me go to upload. OK it says choose file, and I'm running out of time so I need to make this shorter. Go ahead and upload dogs. Crop the picture. Change the size on it however you want. I'll go ahead and leave it like that. Crop and Save, and it's right there now and showing up.
