Here is a start to using Classlink

OK everybody this is my second Classlink video that will be more in detail. There's no need to open up any bookmarks or to make any bookmarks or any of those sort. Just once you open up your Chromebook you should see this automatically pop up in your Chromebook. On a teacher desktop you would have to open up Chrome, and you will see this. Real quickly if you need any help from me beacuse you don't see Classlink, submit a School Dude and I will be right over to help you as soon as I can. Just refer to me for any help. Do not get a hold of Anthony or Tiffany like I said before in the last video that was a mistake. Get ahold of me and I can help you with this. Real quickly just click the 'G' which says sign in with chrome. For students it's just going to be a single 'G'. And as we can see it's spiraling and it's loading. So this is your Classlink webpage for you. When you see this you will see all the apps that you that teachers currently use. For example Aesop, Benchmark Universe, Code dot org, EADMS, Google Drive and so forth. If there are any apps that you need just let me know. Again, for anything do a School Dude if you're not sure. Real quickly, you see that plus sign there that means you can go to the App Library. You click on it, and then let's say I wanted to add ABCya dot com. It says app added successfully. Sometimes it takes a little bit of while, it will not show up right away. Any of the icons here that have a key, that means it will save the login information. It means you login once and you never have to do it again for the rest of the year. So I will close this screen here, and ABCya will show up eventually, it just takes some time. Well let's do another, go ahead and focus on the profile picture. You can click on the profile picture. You can go to My Profile. Change the image, and you will see there's a lot of customized avatars for students and staff. There's quite a few here. Both MJ's, Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and I think that's Leonardo DiCaprio up there. You can scroll all the way down, and you will see that you have several options. You can also upload a photo. If you already saved a photo from the Google search images you can just go to choose file. You can go to downloads, and that's the one that I have of the pet of a dog. And then you click open. Upload. And there you see the picture of a little dog. And then you crop and save it. And then you just close the screen. You can also do themes and colors, password locker. No need to do, to mess with this one. It automatically just saves your passwords already. You can close the screen, and I will show you how I got a picture of that dog or any dog for the matter and how to save it to your downloads folder. On another tab you can just go ahead and type in puppies. You go to images and then with both fingers touching the touchpad, not one finger, you will go ahead and save image as And it's gonna be called download dot jpeg or you can rename it and call it pup and save. And it says pup jpeg downloaded. Go ahead and go back to Classlink. Click profile my profile, change image, upload photo, choose file, and this says pup. Click open. We're gonna go ahead and upload. Crop and Save. Close that screen and now you have a little pup there. You can also go to edit mode. You can go to create an icon or a new folder. Call the folder stuff. Pick a color and save it. And we'll go to create, actually it's already created. And there it is. It's called stuff. You can also change the theme on the very top. Let's switch it to green. Pink for the ladies. I'll stick to blue. That's my color, that's my favorite color. Sort of blue. You can go to the App Library. Keep adding apps, and if you feel you need more apps, go ahead and do a School Dude like I mentioned before, and we can we can add them there. I'll go ahead and add another app just so you guys can see. Let's do Discovery Education. And there's ABCya that just showed up. That's the first one that we did. And Discovery Education will show up later, as it takes time. This is the end of my Classlink video. Just check it out, try it out. There are plenty of different things to do. You can click new app. It automatically brings up the App Library without you having to click the plus sign. Hope this helps.
