Dear Yamato Colony Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Yamato Colony Elementary! We are thrilled to begin another year of learning, growth, and community partnership.
At Yamato Colony, we remain committed to providing every child with a high-quality, standards-based education in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. We believe in the power of collaboration between school and home and we are honored to partner with you in your child’s educational journey. This year, we are especially focused on making Yamato Colony a “Bright Spot” for attendance. Consistent, daily attendance is one of the most important ways to support student learning and success. We ask for your support in helping your child be present, on time, and ready to learn each and every day.
As part of our district’s ongoing efforts to support student achievement, we will continue to focus on the four key LUSD priorities:

Yamato Colony Vision:
It is our commitment to provide a systematic educational program in all academic areas. Curriculum will be standards based and differentiated to meet the individual needs of all our students. We will provide a learning environment that promotes positive self-esteem and stimulates academic achievement and enthusiasm for learning. Instruction and activities will be provided to help students understand and respect cultural diversity and individual differences.
